Services

Emergency assistance, crisis intervention, self-sufficiency programs, food, and counseling Disaster assistance provided for clothing needs based on verifiable need. Assistance securing healthcare and food stamp benefits and other necessities based on need, including referrals and linkages. Rent/mortgage/utility assistance to avoid eviction or shutoff, when rent/mortgage/utility is due within 5 days or after that point under the EFS Program.

CHRISTMAS:
During the months of October and November, applications are taken at the Palm Beach Lakes, Lake Worth and Boca Raton facilities for toys and food The agency has specific requirements and instructions. Call the Salvation Army to get the specifics.

The Resource Center provides limited assistance with utility (electric & water) bills, prescription medication, one way bus tickets, limited rental assistance for those individuals that qualify for the program In addition, the center helps connect clients to additional resources in the area

Services

GENERAL SERVICES - Consists of three components: Emergency Services, Intervention Services, and Self-Sufficiency Services.

Within each program component a service plan is developed based on information gathered during a comprehensive assessment. Strong case management facilitates client movement either along a service continuum or directly to economic independence.

The service components address a variety of service needs and provide direct assistance with rent and utilities. Emergency and Self sufficiency Services may also provide bus passes and food vouchers. Individuals/ families may be eligible for services, based on eligibility and funding. All services are provided in the context of an individual service plan between the applicant and the case manager, with jointly agreed upon goals, working toward the ultimate goal of gaining or regaining self sufficiency.

This office can also provide assistance with LIHEAP (Low Income Energy Assistance Program) appointment is required.
