Services

Mercy's Special Immunology Services program provides outpatient medical care and treatment with supportive and comprehensive services to persons living with HIV/AIDS. In order to connect clients with available resources, Special Immunology Services (SIS) has developed a network with strong working relationships with other Mercy Hospital departments, community healthcare providers, private practice physicians, and community based organizations. SIS offers several supportive services via funding from Ryan White Part A, including outpatient medical care, prescription drugs, case management, substance abuse residential, health insurance services (assistance with prescription co-pays and medical deductibles), mental health therapy/counseling, and transportation voucher services. Comprehensive services are provided throughout the community via a network of affiliated providers. Services are available throughout Miami-Dade County (proof of residency required). SIS also provides case management services for Medicaid Project AIDS Care (PAC) Waiver clients. Health insurance premium assistance, co-pays and deductibles are also provided via the AIDS Insurance Continuation Program.
